CARDALE COURT - HARROGATE

MSJ Commission : Full design service including foundations, superstructure and drainage.

The project involved construction of a new 3-storey office building within an existing business park in Harrogate. The requirement was for clear open space with raised computer floors. The steel framed superstructure utilised cellular beams, composite with the floors, to achieve the clear spans and allow future installation of air conditioning ductwork.

The feature glass atrium included a helical concrete staircase. This was constructed in-situ and provided lateral support to the curved glazing.

The drainage scheme included a hydrobrake and water retention system to limit the surface water discharge off the site.
