'TRANSPERIENCE' - BRADFORD

'Transperience' is a hands on themed exhibition centre of transport through the ages.

The project includes a 9000 sq ft Visitors Centre and a 28000 sq ft Main Exhibition Building.

Trams and buses carry visitors around the site passing through the Main Exhibition Building.

MSJ prepared tender designs for Depledge's design and construction bid for the structural steelwork to the buildings. MSJ proposed a tied rafter solution for the buildings which satisfied the brief and won the contract. MSJ were awarded the design contract by Depledge and prepared the final designs and drawings for the structural steelwork and main connections.

In addition to designing the steelwork for Depledge, MSJ were employed by the main contractor PS Turner to provide assistance with ancillary work including suspended floor slabs, lift shafts and handrailing.
